30 January 2024 @ 10:00 am 3:30 pm

This one-day retreat will be an opportunity to take time out and prepare for our journeys as the new year progresses. A gentle programme, from 10 am to 3.30 pm, will offer varied ways to reflect on Darkness and Light in our lives and in the world. We will have spells of worship rooted in silence, but with some prepared ministry and guidance, together with optional activities such as collage, poetry, or lectio divina.

You would also be welcome to use some of the time in your own way, such as for journalling. The event will finish with some optional sharing of reflections and with tea and cake (in unofficial Quaker tradition). The Kingston Quaker Centre is a lovely modern building a short walk from Kingston train station. The retreat will be led by Linda Murgatroyd and Cherry Simpkin, who are both Quakers and spiritual directors. All are welcome to join this free event (directors, directees and others).
